Where to install a bathroom radiator? There are two key things you need to consider before purchase. First: safety, second: warranty!
Specify the installation location carefully to make sure you are safe in your bathroom and that your new radiator will be eligible for a claim in case of damage.
In the diagram above, ZONE X indicates the water source (outline of washbasin, shower cabin, bathtub, toilet, bidet, etc.).
When installing any radiator, it is absolutely required, to maintain warranty conditions, that
NO WATER RADIATORS OR RADIATORS WITH INSTALLED ELECTRIC HEATING ELEMENT ARE INSTALLED IN ZONE X!
It is especially important to define the installation zone accurately in bathrooms with an open shower (without doors separating the wet and dry area). In an open shower cabin, the entire space not separated by shower walls is considered ZONE X.
When planning to install an electric heating element in a bathroom radiator (a so-called wet room), you must also take into account detailed regulations set out in construction standards, specifying the permitted installation areas and minimum distances.
THE PROTECTION ZONE is a width of 60 cm from ZONE X, designed to provide sufficient distance between water/moisture and electric devices in the room. This is a key safety element!
We install the electric radiator beyond the PROTECTION ZONE.
Regulations regarding low-voltage electrical installations in wet rooms clearly state that the best place to install an electric radiator (radiator with heating element) is outside the PROTECTION ZONE.
Bathroom installation zones are a very important aspect of passive safety and must not be ignored.
