STRAIGHT? CURLY? WITH A PLUG? TYPES OF ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS IN TERMA PRODUCTS

VEO heating element - SMART system, S-type connection - screw connection with a 35 mm mask

The growing popularity of electric heating is reflected in the wide offer of Terma, in which you will find:

  • oil filled electric radiators with a factory installed heating element;
  • dry electric radiators, with a heating wire;
  • elecric heating elements, which in addition to being used in electric radiators, are used in dual fuel radiators which run on both central heating and electric.

Each of the products in the listed groups is factory-equipped with a cable for electric operation. In this article, we explain what are the possibilities of configuring electrical connections in TERMA products standard for the Polish offer.

TYPES OF ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS CHARACTERISTIC FOR DEVICES IN PROTECTION CLASS I

An electrical product supplied with electricity from the electrical installation requires the use of an appropriate connection that will be safe for the user and functional.

We guarantee that all Terma electric heating products meet the legally defined safety standards related to their use. Each of our electric heating elements has a Declaration of Conformity, which can be found HERE.

In addition to the products fitted with a plug typical for electrical products, we also offer wires with no plug, so the cable can be connected directly to the electrical box. For selected heating elements we offer screw in connectors that allow installation directly to the cable coming out of the wall (without the need to fill the electrical box).

In addition to safety and functionality, we make every effort to ensure that our electrical products are well designed and aesthetically pleasing, which extends to the design of the cables and connections. If you prefer not to see the cable on show we offer solutions where the cable is concealed from view, by choosing the version connected directly to the electrical box, with a cable masking.

The table below shows the types of electrical connections in Terma products offered in Poland. They are adapted to the standard of electrical installations in for class 1 products, characteristic for our country.

Note: Power cables with plugs should always be earthed. The fact that the plug fits into a different outlet does not ensure the safe operation of the electrical device.
